Biography: John was born into a caring family and brought up in a relatively comfortable lifestyle. He was a very curious child, always asking questions and trying hard in what he would do, also having an unusual touch of kindness that would allow him to connect with others easily. As a student, he was on top of his game, going ahead or doing independent studies from his peers, being proficient in computers at a young age and good with numbers, while maintaining an average in anything athletic.

John lived an otherwise normal life in Nicowi for most of his childhood and late teen years, doing his best to avoid trouble or seek company of friends, otherwise not attract any attention from the gangs and otherwise attempt to be ignorant of them. He held his own and did alright, up until a week before his eighteenth birthday, when he learned that one of his better friends was killed by a gang member because he attempted to get in the way of their activities. The emotional response spurred John to get revenge..but he wasn't very stong, nor did he wish to risk getting even on his own. Instead, at the funeral, he met up with more friends and associates and convince them to band together and protect each other...not necessarily fight the gang, but work things out on the block, and see how it worked out from there.

Over the course of two years, John managed to amass about twenty people together into a loose gang themselves, with John advising while a companion stood at the helm. Rather than taking any fight directly, he pitched more domestic ideas, legitly gathering or creating resources and often trading or donating them to brighten up the area. Whenever things had to get rough, identities were masked and malcontents were pushed back, and they did a good job at protecting people or halting any disingenuous activity. Their track record gathered the attention of revolutionary sorts, attempting to bring down Jack's hold over Nicowi, though the group didn't so much bother Jack himself. A resulting argument and previous injury saw the original leader leave and at the suggestions of his peers, John reluctantly agreed to help the other gang, stepping forth as the one in charge under an alias, where John proved to show skills as a determined fighter and sound strategist, bringing him recognition (to his embarassment) and pride to anyone under him who didn't like Jack.

Every success had it's drawbacks as well. Over those same two years, retaliation came. Friends and family would occasionally be singled out, and many died in the crossfire; John's family and closer friends had died via collateral damage, which drove him further under. Any time Jack's gang struck back, resources had to be realigned; trusted people started to fall out from associations. John continued to help everyone he saw and could, ultimately at his own expense; while he hid it from everyone he knew, he had become malnouished, physically ill, rather poor and psychologically shaken in the process, and then his trust at times was strained by the affiliated groups. This culminated one day when he was 19, where while unmasked he caught an affiliate assaulting a woman on his turf. He failed to stop the act, but killed the man and helped the woman to safety when he realized that the woman wasn't just anyone, but associated up somewhere in Jack's higher circle, and knew that they were gonna pay for it dearly, and on top of that she saw his face as well. Knowing they had no chance, he gathered up what was left, assembled, and told them to get out as soon as possible, possibly to Le`Coral, his intended destination.

They never made it; Jack's associates rained down like hellfire, wiping them out for their transgressions. John and his friends were caught running and managed to get within range of Drofmio before getting brutally wiped out. By some thread, John managed to avoid total death by falling unconscious to wounds and physical strain. When he woke up, he came to in critical condition, barely able to stand, and his glasses shattered. Knowing what had happened but unable to grieve, he wandered to the forest running on little more than willpower, where he did his best to find help, but instead found himself accidentally shot by an unwitting scouting party. In his last conscious moments, he noticed the party's medic attempting to do what she could, but passed out before he could see the result.

The next time John awoke was in the hospital at Drofmio, still seriously injured, but stabilized. When he woke up, he eventually met the medic from the party he had 'met' earlier. While at first a little unreserved, he eventually realized that she had saved him from a close brush with death, and so immediately allowed himself to relax. He found out that her name was Kristina, and that she was going to spend time helping nursing him back to health, which he accepted. In his time confined, a lot of his mental troubles and some of the physical damage had passed, and he reverted to softer, pre-fighting habits and found a point where he could speak to her easily, considering her friend enough to trade stories. At the end of the week, he learned that she had training to attend to and had to leave, and so wished her well and the best of luck, and hoping he'd see her again.

He spent the next month continuing to recover at the hospital, managing to make a full recovery. Having nothing left to his name except his gun, sword, and the idle conversation with doctors and nurses, he chose to head to Le`Coral and attempt to enter into the academy, and catch up on studies he had previously left behind, and for a time he began to rise up once again. As the mentionings of war started to come up, he decided to prepare himself as a combatant and retrain his tactician skills, having a feeling that those were gonna come in handy, just in case those skills would come up to be needed once again.
